Managing Files with File Manager

DirectAdmin's File Manager lets you manage your website files directly in your browser.

Accessing File Manager

1. Log into DirectAdmin
2. Click File Manager under System Info & Files

Navigating to Your Website Files

Your website files are located at:

domains/yourdomain.com/public_html

Common Operations

Uploading Files

1. Navigate to the destination folder
2. Click Upload in the toolbar
3. Select files or drag and drop

Creating New Files/Folders

1. Click Create New File or Create New Folder
2. Enter the name and click Create

Editing Files

1. Click on the file to select it
2. Click Edit in the toolbar
3. Make your changes
4. Click Save

Extracting ZIP Files

1. Upload your ZIP file
2. Right-click on it (or select and use toolbar)
3. Click Extract

Setting File Permissions

1. Select the file or folder
2. Click Chmod or Permissions
3. Set the desired permissions (e.g., 755 for folders, 644 for files)
