How to Restore Emails from JetBackup
Recovering Email Messages
Restore deleted emails or entire email accounts.
Restoring Email Accounts
- Open JetBackup in DirectAdmin
- Click Email Backups
- Select your domain
- Choose the email account
- Select backup date
- Click Restore
What Gets Restored
- All email messages
- Folder structure
- Read/unread status
- Email settings
Restore Options
- Merge: Add backup emails without deleting current
- Overwrite: Replace all current emails
Restoring Individual Emails
Some JetBackup versions allow navigating into the backup to restore specific emails or folders.
Important Notes
- Restored emails appear as new in email clients
- IMAP will sync the changes to all devices
- POP3 users may see duplicates
After Restoring
- Check webmail for restored emails
- Refresh email client
- Organize recovered messages
