How to Perform a Full Account Restore

Restoring Everything

Restore your entire hosting account to a previous state.

What Full Restore Includes

  • All website files
  • All databases
  • All email accounts and messages
  • Cron jobs
  • DNS settings

Performing Full Restore

  1. Open JetBackup in DirectAdmin
  2. Click Full Backups
  3. Select backup date
  4. Review what will be restored
  5. Click Restore
  6. Confirm the restoration

Warning - Read Carefully!

A full restore will:

  • Overwrite ALL current data
  • Delete anything added since backup date
  • Take several minutes for large accounts

When to Use Full Restore

  • Major hack/compromise
  • Catastrophic failure
  • Need to roll back everything

Selective vs Full Restore

If possible, use selective restore (files only, or database only) to preserve other data.

After Full Restore

  1. Test website thoroughly
  2. Check email access
  3. Verify database connections
  4. Update passwords if restored due to hack
