How to Perform a Full Account Restore
Restoring Everything
Restore your entire hosting account to a previous state.
What Full Restore Includes
- All website files
- All databases
- All email accounts and messages
- Cron jobs
- DNS settings
Performing Full Restore
- Open JetBackup in DirectAdmin
- Click Full Backups
- Select backup date
- Review what will be restored
- Click Restore
- Confirm the restoration
Warning - Read Carefully!
A full restore will:
- Overwrite ALL current data
- Delete anything added since backup date
- Take several minutes for large accounts
When to Use Full Restore
- Major hack/compromise
- Catastrophic failure
- Need to roll back everything
Selective vs Full Restore
If possible, use selective restore (files only, or database only) to preserve other data.
After Full Restore
- Test website thoroughly
- Check email access
- Verify database connections
- Update passwords if restored due to hack
