Security Monitoring and Alerts
Staying Informed About Threats
Monitoring helps you detect issues before they become major problems.

- Website uptime
- Database changes
WordPress Security Plugins
Wordfence, Sucuri, and similar plugins can:
- Send email alerts
- Log security events
- Notify of file changes
- Alert to brute force attacks
Setting Up Alerts (Wordfence)
- Go to Wordfence → All Options
- Find Email Alert Preferences
- Enable alerts you want
- Set email address
- Save changes
Uptime Monitoring
Get notified if your site goes down:
- UptimeRobot (free)
- Pingdom
- StatusCake
Log Review
- Check DirectAdmin logs periodically
- Look for unusual patterns
- Note suspicious IP addresses
Don't Over-Alert
Too many alerts leads to ignoring them. Configure alerts for important events only.
