Uploading Your First Website
Getting Your Website Online
There are several ways to get your website files onto your Hostdeal hosting.
Option 1: File Manager (Easiest)
- Log into DirectAdmin
- Click File Manager
- Navigate to domains/yourdomain.com/public_html
- Click Upload in the toolbar
- Select your files or drag and drop them
- For ZIP files, upload then right-click to Extract
Option 2: FTP Client
For larger uploads, use an FTP client like FileZilla:
- Download and install FileZilla
- Connect using your DirectAdmin credentials
- Host: your-domain.com
- Port: 21 (or 22 for SFTP)
- Upload files to the public_html folder
Option 3: Install a CMS
Use Softaculous to install WordPress, Joomla, or 400+ other applications with one click. See our WordPress installation guide.

Use KoPage to create a website visually without uploading files. See our Website Builder guide.
Important: public_html Folder
Your website files must be in the public_html folder to be visible on the web. This is your document root.
